About Us

At Te Whatu Ora Waitemata the Marinoto West, Child and Youth Mental Health Services offers specialist mental health assessment and treatment to young people across the age range from 4 to 18 years. We are currently looking for an experienced Social Worker to join us at our West premises. Our service delivery model is CAPA, the Choice and Partnership Approach and you can learn more about this at

We are really keen to hear from you, if you are a Social Worker, who has experience working within mental health settings. You will be self-motivated with a sense of humour, as well as strength of character and a determination to make a positive difference to vulnerable young people. We would like you to join our dynamic team which values being connected to our community and to deliver the best care for everyone.

Essential

  • Registered Social Worker with current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
  • Membership of ANZASW
  • Current driver's licence

We welcome applications from social workers/occupational therapists who are new graduates or new to mental health & addictions practice. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive support, including supervision, mentoring, and coaching. You will also be supported to complete a New Entry to Specialist Practice (NESP) programme, which includes undertaking a postgraduate certificate in Health Sciences (MH&A).
