We have an exciting new opportunity within the urban operations team based in Auckland.

The Senior Service Delivery Controller holds a dual role, responsible for both carrying out the role of a Controller, as well as providing support to the National Urban OCC Manager by taking on some additional responsibilities for operations oversight and continuous improvement.

As a Service Delivery Controller, this position operates as part of the team with key areas of focus:


• Real-time operations control and service delivery.


• Managing service disruptions and cancellations through to resolution.


• Conducting reliability investigations.


• Effectively communicating and coordinating with all stakeholders to recover service exceptions, incidents and accidents.

As the Senior Service Delivery Controller, additional responsibilities will include taking a leading role in driving continuous improvement across the urban operations on road and network monitoring processes, scoping out SOPs as well as monitoring Controllers, to ensure day-to-day performance across the key areas of:


• Punctuality and Reliability


• Customer Service


• Health and Safety


• Cost Control

Key Candidate Skills


• Experience working in a 7-day real time on-road/network monitoring / operational environment within transportation.


• Demonstrable ability to set and document standards and procedures.


• Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.


• Ability to coach, mentor and guide others – performing skill gap analysis and providing feedback.


• Experience in working within a team and strong interpersonal skills.


• Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel.


• Strong analytical and reporting skills.


• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.


• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
