About the Role

Paramount Services Ltd is seeking a
Training Manager - Lawn & Garden Care
to lead the development and delivery of training programs across our nationwide Lawn & Garden Care operations. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on ensuring our teams are skilled, safe, and consistently delivering high-quality service.

You'll work closely with Operations and HR to build capability, drive compliance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver training programs for Lawn & Garden Care staff, franchisees, team leaders, and supervisors
  • Lead onboarding and induction processes for new franchisees and employees
  • Provide diverse operational support: client quotes, practical fieldwork, and setting best practice standards.Ensure training meets health & safety and industry standards
  • Conduct site visits to assess performance and provide coaching
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify training needs and measure effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate training records and contribute to compliance reporting

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 5 years of industry work experience, including roles as a manager, supervisor, or team leader, is required.
  • Hands-on experience in Lawn & Garden Care and special works such as chainsaw operation, pest & weed control, tree pruning, and garden design/maintenance is essential. Previous work experience as a trainer in the Lawn & Garden Care industry is preferred.
  • NZQA Horticulture/Arboriculture or Primary ITO Level 2 or 3 or Level 3 Supervision/Assessor qualification related to industry will add values
  • Experience in training assessment, curriculum design, development, delivery, and reporting is expected.
  • Flexibility to travel across New Zealand, including overnight stays and weekend work, is required.
  • Strong work ethics and physical fitness to meet the demanding nature of the job are essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Lawn & Garden Care techniques, equipment, and safety protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage diverse teams
  • Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused
  • A current and clean New Zealand driver's licence is required.
