Step by Step Training specialises in one-to-one digital literacy and vocational training for adult learners.

We're expanding and looking for experienced trainers who live in different parts of Wellington.

This is a part-time, contractor role ideal for educators who value independence and flexibility. You'll deliver private one-to-one training from your home-based training area (face-to-face and online) using our resources and digital systems.

What we offer:

Private one-to-one training sessions — no classroom teaching.

What you'll need:

  • Teaching, tutoring, coaching or training experience and/or qualifications
  • Confidence training face-to-face and online
  • Strong computing skills (Microsoft Office, Windows, Email, Internet)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A private home office or training space
  • Empathy, adaptability, and professionalism
  • NZQA 4098 or experience assessing unit standards

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience training in Xero or vocational topics

Step by Step is an NZQA-accredited Private Training Establishment with a nationwide network of trainers.

Our students are typically adults returning to work after injury or time away from employment, often referred by ACC and other agencies.

We're now transitioning to a marketplace model that rewards experience, flexibility, and quality, giving trainers more choice over rates and teaching opportunities as we expand our digital platform.
