About The Role
In this broad and busy Group Financial Accountant role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end finance function.

You will oversee the full accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clarity across the business. From monthly reporting and payroll oversight to tax compliance and commercial analysis, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders in the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, post, and review financial documents and journal entries
  • Maintain and own the general ledger, ensuring accounts are accurate, reconciled, and compliant
  • Produce monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, KPI reporting, and consolidated group results
  • Manage all GST, PAYE, FBT, and tax filing obligations
  • Oversee weekly payroll, including leave, deductions, KiwiSaver, and pay reviews
  • Manage accounts receivable including cash collection, credit control, and debtor follow-up
  • Lead budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the leadership team
  • Liaise with IRD and external partners as required
  • Strengthen financial controls, implement process improvements, and ensure compliance across the group
  • Conduct margin analysis and evaluate sales team profitability

About You:
The ideal candidate for this role is likely going to be CA / CPA qualified, with proven experience working in a busy Senior Financial Accountant role or similar.

You will have strong working knowledge of NZ tax legislation, IFRS, payroll, and statutory compliance as well as experience preparing financial statements, consolidations, and tax returns.

This role will suit someone with high attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to take ownership of work. Experience working with Xero, MYOB, or similar accounting systems will be an advantage.

This is an office based role in Highbrook, with parking available. You will need to be ready to start quickly and have availability for a minimum of 3 months.
