About DermLab

DermLab is a purpose-built, specialist Dermatology clinic in Hamilton, New Zealand. Founded by FRACP Dermatologists Dr AJ Seine and Dr Alistair Brown, the clinic provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology—including Mohs surgery, advanced lasers, day-stay procedures, and full general dermatology.

We are now seeking an additional Consultant Dermatologist to join our growing team, with a primary focus on medical dermatology, complemented by skin cancer management and standard surgical excisions. You will work within a modern, well-equipped clinic that offers the full breadth of Dermatology, while maintaining the freedom to shape your own clinical interests.

The Role

You'll be joining a collegial, specialist-led environment with strong demand, excellent nursing support, and the autonomy to build a balanced, personally satisfying practice.

This is an ideal position for a Dermatologist who enjoys:

  • General and complex medical dermatology– acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, pediatric dermatology, inflammatory disease, urticaria
  • Skin cancer diagnosis and management– high prevalence region with excellent referral pathways– standard surgical excisions within a dedicated procedure suite
  • Working within a clinic that supports the full spectrum of specialist care– Mohs surgery, CO₂ and PICO lasers, cosmetic dermatology, energy-based devices–

No requirement to perform cosmetic or Mohs work (available if desired)

DermLab welcomes applications from Dermatologists who:

  • Hold, or are eligible for, specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • Have completed UK CCT, CESR, or equivalent
  • Enjoy medical dermatology as their central practice
  • Are confident with standard skin cancer excisions
  • Value collaborative specialist care and a patient-centered approach
  • Are seeking a professionally fulfilling role with excellent lifestyle balance
