Auckland – Head Office | Full Time

We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager – Reporting to lead Group-wide reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, cashflow management and process improvements. This senior role supports the Financial Controller and will lead a small finance team.

Financial & Monthly Reporting

  • Lead month-end close across all Group entities.
  • Review P&Ls, balance sheets, reconciliations and accounting treatment.
  • Analyse variances and liaise with budget holders on performance.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly management reports and assist with Board reporting.
  • Oversee CAPEX management, asset capitalisation/disposals and inter-entity asset lease models.
  • Support trade debtor management with the Commercial Finance Manager.
  • Manage monthly Finance Control Reports.

Cashflow Management

  • Own integrated cashflow models for all entities.
  • Monitor daily/weekly cash positions and escalate key issues.
  • Forecast cashflow for the financial year.
  • Authorise bank payments and manage invoice financing processes.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting cycle for the Group.
  • Manage forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Monitor business costs and support cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure budgets are accurately loaded into the financial system.
  • Review PO's, invoice and CAPEX spend vs budget/forecast.

External Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare reporting required for financiers and banking covenants.
  • Manage the year-end process and work with external accounting firm.
  • Ensure accurate and timely GST, FBT, PAYE and tax filings.
  • Provide internal tax advice and support.
  • Completion of Statistics NZ returns.

Leadership & Improvement

  • Lead, mentor and develop direct reports.
  • Hold regular team meetings and set annual goals.
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset and support system enhancements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with H&S requirements.

**About You

At least the first three criteria are mandatory:**

  • CA qualified (CAANZ or equivalent).
  • Big 4 background (audit preferred).
  • 7+ years in financial reporting with 5+ PQE.
  • Strong technical accounting, NZ IFRS and tax knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in logistics and team leadership is a plus.
