About the job
We are recruiting for a recently graduated (or about to at the end of this year) Quantity Surveyor to join our team of estimators and project managers within the power and communications business unit. If you haven't yet graduated but are close to doing so and can work flexible hours, we would still be keen to hear from you This is an entry level role so if you are eager to kickstart your career that offers loads of variety then this fantastic opportunity to learn and develop professionally could be the role for you.

About the Role
- Preparing, pricing and submitting tenders and quotes, negotiating with clients, technical advisors and contractors, as well as preparing various contract performance reports
- Help grow the projects business by submitting competitive tenders
- Contribute to the financial success of projects by undertaking detailed financial management tasks and contract administration of awarded projects, ensuring that projects return tendered margin or better
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and sub-contractors
- Develop into a proficient user of Delta's estimating software.
What you need to succeed:
- Ideally a Diploma (or similar equivalent) in Quantity Surveying qualified or working towards being qualified
- Proactive and results-focused
- Experience with Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to review and understand drawings, plans and specifications
- Great attention to detail, showing thoroughness and accuracy
- Effective and timely communication, both written and verbal
- Clean full Class 1 New Zealand driver's license.
