Fixed term contract. Part time or full-time hours available. Queenstown and Wanaka hours per week

Job Summary

We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic legend to look after our cherry stall this summer. We would be providing Queenstown/Wanaka locals with the opportunity to buy our delicious locally grown cherries directly from our orchards. To do this, we set up easy-access stalls where people can pop in and grab a bag (Queenstown township). The stalls will start operating around 2nd week of December 2025 through to January 2026. You would need to drive to either queenstown OR wanaka daily as per the job requirement. There is some flexibility, but you will need to be available for peak selling times with a mid-morning start, must be available for weekends.

Key Responsibilities


• Collecting sales stock for the day and preparing it by sorting, weighing and bagging the cherries.


• Setting up and packing down your trestle table and umbrella at the licensed spot in  queenstown or a suitable spot in Wanaka.


• Lifting 15kg crates of cherries


• Arranging your stall and signage in a visually attractive way.


• Processing cash and EFTPOS transactions.


• Accurately recording stock and sales for the day.

Drive to Queenstown CBD OR Wanaka daily (paid) to operate a mobile cherry cart, move the cart every hour in line with QLDC permit requirements (if in Queenstown). Restock the cart from the parked vehicle and reporting back to Pure Pac Packhouse in Cromwell to restock/deliver cash whenever required. We have a coolstore in Queenstown if you need to store cherries and decide to be based there.

Skills and qualifications:

Required

  • Full Driver's license and access to transport
  • Confident driving skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Valid working rights in New Zealand

Preferred


• A positive, welcoming attitude with our customers


•      Confidence and trustworthiness in cash handling


• Similar retail experience


• Fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese


• Fit and strong to carry cherry crates and move the cart.

Must have a bubbly and outgoing personality with a flair for customer service and comfortable working on your own
