Role Overview:

We're seeking a
skilled and motivated Field Service Technician / Experienced Tradesperson
with electrical and mechanical expertise to join our growing team.

We also welcome applicants from related industries, particularly those with experience in
industrial or commercial electrical work, heavy appliance servicing, or elevator systems
.

A good working knowledge of Auckland and the surrounding regions would be an advantage.

The successful applicant will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing
safety, compliance, and reliability
of overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment at customer sites throughout New Zealand. This position is
based in Auckland
, with occasional travel required to support national projects.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Perform services, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs as well as inspections on cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment.

·      Fault-find and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

·      Maintain compliance with New Zealand safety regulations and best practices.

·      Accurately document service work, inspection reports, and customer records.

·      Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely resolution of service issues.

·      Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of safety and service excellence.

What You'll Bring:

·      Essential - Current New Zealand Electrical Practising Licence and Electrical Industry Expertise

·      Desirable - Mechanical expertise / experience - ideally have a trade qualification / background in Mechanical Fitting or similar

·      Proven field service experience, preferably in cranes, hoists, or industrial lifting equipment

·      Full, clean NZ driver's licence

·      EWP Licence and Working at Heights Certificate

·      Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems

·      Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals

·      Commitment to health & safety

·      Excellent problem-solving skills

·      Strong communication and teamwork skills

·      Flexibility to travel across NZ as required and working overtime as and when required

·      Computer literacy and comfort with service reporting software

·      NZ residency or citizenship

·      Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
