We are seeking an energetic and motivated Director of Sport to lead, grow and strengthen sport across Hamilton Christian School, with a strong focus on participation and fostering high performance, promoting excellence and inspiring our students to develop their sporting abilities and skills to their full potential.

This full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about developing young people both athletically and spiritually, and who can inspire teams, coaches and high-performance athletes.  The role requires specific expertise in sports management, and a willingness to coach a first-team squad would be an advantage.

The terms and conditions for this position are set by the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement; however, depending on the applicant's suitable qualifications (i.e. a teaching qualification), this role may fall under a Teacher contract, as outlined in the Area Schools' Collective Agreement.

Key Responsibilities – these may include, but are not limited to:

· Strategic leadership of all school sports, activities, and events.

·       Grow participation in sport across all year levels

·       Strengthen the competitiveness and performance of school teams

·       Lead and support coaches and contribute to school-wide training expectations

·       Promote positive PE experiences across the school

We're Looking For

·       Experience in sports leadership, coaching or athlete development

·       Strong organisation, communication and relationship-building skills

·       Someone passionate about seeing students thrive physically, emotionally and spiritually
