We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Sports Coordinator to join our Director of Sport, Sports Coordinator and Sports Administrator in our busy Sports Department. The role has arisen due to a huge growth in sports at Rototuna High Schools. This is a key role, to support our students to participate in sports and allow them to 'soar' through these opportunities.

We are looking for someone that will hit the ground running and who is able to connect with students, staff and families to support the smooth coordination of all things sport across our schools.

The skills and strengths we are looking for are:

  • The attitude, understanding and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting positively and responsively with students, staff and the wider community
  • A passion for developing and motivating young people
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the flexibility and willingness to adapt to the changing demands of the role
  • Excellent all round computer skills using databases and Google Apps for Education
  • Works within and promotes the schools' culture and values
  • Works well as part of a team to fulfil our schools' vision
  • A full, clean and current NZ Drivers Licence
  • Prior experience working in a school could be advantageous.

Remuneration will be set under the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement, according to skills and experience.

The start date for this role is 22 January 2026.
