As a Kitchen Hand at Kamana Lakehouse, you play an essential role in the smooth functioning of our culinary operations. By ensuring a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment, assisting in food preparation, and supporting the broader culinary team - you help uphold the high standards our guests expect. Your work behind the scenes directly contributes to the seamless and exceptional dining experience we pride ourselves on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, including floors, benches, equipment, and storage zones
  • Wash and sanitise dishes, kitchen tools, cutlery, and cookware according to standards.
  • Receive, unpack, and store deliveries, ensuring rotation and stock integrity.
  • Dispose of rubbish and recycling in line with hotel sustainability and waste protocols.
  • Ensure work areas are kept tidy and hazards are minimised.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
  • Assist in basic food preparation, including peeling, chopping, and portioning.
  • Support the team with any additional tasks as needed to keep the kitchen operating efficiently.
