Regional Manager – Auckland & Northland

Carus is a 100% New Zealand owned and operated family business and proudly New Zealand's leading repainting and aftercare maintenance specialist. They help extend the serviceable life and value of property assets through repainting and maintenance solutions, with a strong and growing focus on environmentally friendly options.

With established branches in Auckland & Northland, Carus is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead sales performance, develop people, and drive growth across the region.

This is a sales-led leadership role. It is ideal for someone who has progressed from a strong sales background into people leadership and understands what it takes to build, motivate, and manage high-performing sales teams.

About the role

As a Regional Manager, you will be accountable for sales growth, team leadership, and branch performance across Auckland & Northland. You'll lead and develop Business Development and operational teams while remaining closely connected to the market, customers, and opportunities.

You'll balance hands-on sales leadership with coaching, performance management, and strategic planning – ensuring teams are supported, targets are achieved, and customer relationships continue to grow.

What you'll do

  • Lead sales strategy and drive revenue growth across Auckland & Northland
  • Coach, mentor, and manage sales teams to achieve and exceed targets
  • Build a high-performance culture thorough strong people leadership and accountability
  • Support and close high-value or complex sales opportunities
  • Oversee branch performance, ensuring strong service delivery and customer experience
  • Manage sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, and performance metrics
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop sales and operational team members
  • Maintain key client relationships across education, aged care, body corporate, manufacturing, and commercial sectors
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align sales, delivery, and operational outcomes
  • Represent the business in market and industry relationships across the region

What you'll bring:

  • A strong sales background, with proven success in leading sales teams
  • Experience managing people, performance, and revenue outcomes
  • Previous experience in painting, construction, maintenance, or similar trade-based sector
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance strategy with execution
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence working across multiple branches and geographically spread teams
