We are seeking a Site Engineer with leadership, contract management and operational delivery experience. You will be technically minded with knowledge in multiple civil disciplines, contributing to the positive dynamic of our fast-paced, high-performing team.

About the Role

As a Site Engineer at Tūpore Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in our civil construction projects, ensuring that every aspect meets our rigorous standards for quality, safety, and client satisfaction. This dynamic position demands an individual who excels in a fast-paced environment, anticipates challenges, and is prepared to make decisions that facilitate the continuous progress of projects.

This position is suitable for an individual who wants to progress to a Project Manager role, has meticulous attention to detail, and is strongly committed to achieving exceptional results. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop contract management plans, programs, budgets and methodologies.
  • Coordinate design queries, RFI, approvals, permits and contract administration.
  • Ensure compliance with Contract specifications, H&S regulations, Environmental controls and Quality assurance requirements.
  • Maintain and complete accurate lot files, quality assurance testing, and closeout documentation.
  • Identify project constraints, risks, opportunities, and implement mitigation measures.
  • Complete and support toolbox talks, hazard assessments, incident reporting and corrective actions.
  • Manage resources, utilisation, staging and sequencing.
  • Lead coordination with Foreman and Subcontractors.
  • Plan and prepare daily work fronts with Foreman and Subcontractors.
  • Ensure works are delivered to specifications, standards and contract requirements.
  • Track costs, productivity and financial performance against targets.
  • Prepare and negotiate variations, claims, EOT's, progress claims, and cost to complete.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local bodies, clients, subcontractors, suppliers & other key stakeholders
  • Lead and develop Supervisors, Foremen and field staff.
  • Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching and technical guidance.
  • Support workforce planning, capability development and recruitment where needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-4 years' experience delivering civil infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of civil construction disciplines (earthworks, drainage, roading, utilities, structures).
  • Proven experience with project delivery, planning, forecasting, and administration.
  • Experience in MS Project and project management/reporting systems.
  • Leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
