We are looking for a new team member to join our team of dedicated builders in Christchurch, working on various construction projects including new homes, multi-unit developments, renovations and repairs.

Most of our work is in Christchurch, with some jobs across wider Canterbury, the West Coast and South Island.

With a solid pipeline of work ahead this is a great opportunity for consistent work, seeing the project through from form work to finishing.

Our need is primarily for an experienced builder with 2 or more years experience OR a relevant Level 4 Qualification.

Applicants with less experience but a desire to learn are encouraged to still apply as you could be considered for other roles.

Ideally you will have:

  • Current drivers licence
  • Experience in Carpentry
  • Your own tools, ready to go
  • Proven work history

Job tasks include:

  • Cutting, assembling and nailing materials
  • Erecting framework and roof framing, lying sub-flooring and floor boards
  • Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
  • Installling fixtures
  • General construction work as required

Pay rate is negotiable based on experience, we are happy to also considered contractors.

Average of 40 hours per week (Minimum 30 hours guaranteeed).
