SENIOR MAINTENANCE GARDENER – EAST & CENTRAL AUCKLAND

Greenworx is on the lookout for an experienced and motivated Senior Maintenance Gardener to join its growing team. If you take pride in your work and enjoy building great relationships with clients, this is the role for you.

Greenworx is a locally owned garden and landscape company servicing East and Central Auckland. Greenworx specialise in residential and commercial garden maintenance — keeping outdoor spaces healthy, tidy and thriving all year round.

Greenworx are a small, friendly team that works hard, enjoys a laugh, and genuinely cares about what they do. The business is growing quickly, and they are looking for someone who wants to grow with them.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Maintenance Gardener, you'll take the lead on maintaining some of Greenworx key residential and commercial gardens. You'll be hands-on every day — pruning, planting, mulching, weeding, fertilising, and managing pest and disease control. You'll also help plan seasonal work, communicate with clients, and ensure every garden looks its best. You'll work independently at times and as part of a small team on larger sites. You may also help guide an apprentice or junior gardener, so leadership and communication skills are important.

IDEAL SKILLSET + EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in garden maintenance (residential or commercial)
  • Strong plant and weed ID, pruning and general horticultural knowledge
  • Confidence using tools, machinery, and working safely outdoors
  • Great communication and a professional, client-focused attitude
  • A keen eye for detail and pride in your presentation
  • Fit, reliable, and self-motivated
  • Full NZ driver's licence (manual & trailer skills a bonus)
  • Experience in soft landscaping or small makeovers is great but not essential.

REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS

Competitive remuneration is on offer and will depend on the candidates experience and skill set. Position comes with a company vehicle and necessary tools of the trade. Waged employees or permanent contractors will be considered.
