We're looking for a Digital Infrastructure Services & Platforms Manager to take charge of Northpower's digital infrastructure and drive the next chapter of our technology evolution.

You'll combine your technical expertise, commercial acumen, leadership skills and passion for innovation to deliver secure, scalable, and future-ready platforms and services.

About the role:

As Digital Infrastructure Services & Platforms Manager, you'll be the architect of Northpower's digital backbone - designing, managing, and continuously improving infrastructure that supports critical services across our business. Working with a team of talented engineers, managed service providers, and external partners, you'll ensure seamless delivery of platforms and services while driving continuous improvement.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and inspire: Manage a high-performing team of engineers and partners, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Own the platforms: Oversee cloud environments, networks, and enterprise systems with robust security and disaster recovery plans.
  • Be the go-to expert: Act as the escalation point for critical incidents, ensuring swift resolution and clear communication.
  • Drive innovation: Identify emerging technologies and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage partnerships: Build strong vendor relationships and optimize contracts and budgets for maximum value.
  • Champion growth: Mentor your team and support their professional development.
  • This role requires occasional travel and after-hours availability.

About you:

You're an experienced infrastructure lead with the ability to balance operational strategy, commercial acumen and hands-on technical expertise.

You bring:

  • 10+ years in IT infrastructure, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven success in designing, building and managing complex infrastructure platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud technologies, infrastructure-as-code, and enterprise systems.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and infrastructure architecture.
  • Strong commercial acumen and vendor management skills.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and service delivery best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills to engage technical teams and senior stakeholders.

What's in it for you?

  • Competitive remuneration and benefits package.
  • Well-being initiatives, peer support network (Kaitiaki), and EAP services.
  • Life insurance and discounted medical cover.
  • Ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities.
  • A supportive, inclusive workplace where your contribution is valued.
  • Family-friendly events, discounted gym memberships, and retail perks.
