About Us

At Wakefield Hospital, we perform a wide range of diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures. And with a long-standing history of serving the lower North Island, we are proud to be the largest private hospital in the Wellington region.

About the role

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hospital, by assessing and completing cleaning tasks around patient movements. You will also be involved in regular audits of hygiene standards, ensuring that that cleaning schedules are adhered to. 

This is a casual position and is located at Wakefield Hospital in Newtown, Wellington.

As the Housekeeper, you will be able to use initiative and think outside the box.

You will also have high standard of personal appearance and have the following qualities/skills: 

  • Previous cleaning experience preferred 
  • Ability to prioritise workload 
  • Able to take direction 
  • Excellent communicator 
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team 
  • Physically fit
