This well-established, locally owned and operated business in South Auckland proudly represents a range of top farm equipment brands. With a dedicated and professional team, their conveniently located workshop is ideally positioned to serve a diverse client base.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled and experienced diesel mechanic to take on a hands-on role involving mechanical repairs, routine servicing, maintenance, and diagnosing technical issues across a variety of farming equipment, tractors, and small engines. The position is mainly based in the workshop, with occasional field service work as required.
This is a full time, permanent role offering a minimum of 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.
Requirements
- A relevant automotive trade qualification is essential, with a preference for those qualified as Diesel Mechanics
- This role is not suited to entry-level candidates — it requires well-rounded mechanical servicing and repair skills, along with strong diagnostic expertise
- Hands-on experience with farming or agricultural machinery and tractors is highly preferred; however, candidates with other heavy equipment backgrounds will also be considered
- Strong technical and communication skills are essential, along with a current and clean NZ driver's licence
- A positive work ethic and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team are also important
