Community Support Worker
Arataki Ministries provide community mental health services in Whangarei and Kaipara area. We have a full time 40 Hour a week vacancy, this particular position is working with a majority of male clientele. We are looking for someone to join our growing team working as a Community Support Worker , based in our Whangarei team. The job entails supporting people with mental health and/or addiction issues to live well in the community. This In other words; walking alongside people to live a meaningful and satisfying life.
The successful applicant will have:
- Have passion and empathy for working with people
- Completed the Certificate in Mental Health and Addictions (L4) or equivalent, or have experience in the mental health and addiction field.
- Be resilient
- Have common sense and able to work as a member of the team and autonomously
- Have experience in or have a desire to work with people with mental health and addiction issues
- Have good communication skills; verbal and written
- Have good IT skills
- Have a Full and clean driver's licence
- Have a clear police record
