The System Leadership Team at Crown Law are looking for an experienced government lawyer to join us, working as Crown Counsel until June 2027.

The System Leadership Team is based in the Attorney-General Group and assists the Solicitor-General fulfil her system leadership role for the Government Legal Network. We leverage the collective strength of the government's 850+ lawyers and support those lawyers to do their jobs in agencies.

This role will work with the Government Legal Network to support the provision of high-quality legal services to government through:

  • Producing legal advice and guides for government lawyers and decision-makers on both foundational and emerging legal topics;
  • Identifying trends and risks across government, and assisting with legal risk management;
  • Considering how legal developments impact the Crown across the board and how the Crown's legal position might be shaped; and
  • Keeping government lawyers up to date on key legal developments
