HVAC&R Centre is New Zealand's leading authority in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration education and compliance. The Role

As our Education coordinator, you'll play a key role in delivering and enhancing our training and professional development.

You'll manage our full training catalogue — including Instructor-Led Training (ILT), webinars, discussion groups, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). You'll also oversee our Learning Management System (TalentLMS), streamline reporting and analytics, and collaborate with our contracted training providers.

An understanding of the New Zealand Building Code (particularly NZ/AS 5149, 4303 and 1668 standards) and familiarity with IQP and PSA requirements for SS9 systems will be highly valuable.

This is a hands-on, systems-focused role for someone who enjoys improving processes, building structure, and supporting education that makes a real difference across the HVAC&R community.


What You'll Do

Education

  • Manage the delivery of HVAC&R Centre's full training catalogue
  • Onboard individual and company members to deliver membership benefits
  • Oversee and maintain our TalentLMS platform
  • Coordinate training delivery with external providers
  • Support automation of reporting and learner analytics

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Engage with our members and learners to ensure a great learning experience
  • Coordinate and support collaboration with our partner network
  • Work closely with trainers, subject-matter experts, and internal project teams

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years' experience in education, compliance, or training delivery
  • Knowledge of the NZ Building Code (particularly NZ/AS 5149, 4303 and 1668)
  • Experience working with local councils is highly regarded
  • Proven ability to manage LMS platforms (TalentLMS experience an advantage)
  • Strong project management and coordination skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Passion for education, compliance, and continuous improvement in the HVAC&R industry
