We are excited to be able to start recruiting for the Practice Nurse Lead position here at Bester McKay Family Doctors.

This role would be perfect for an experienced nurse either currently working in a leadership role or a nurse with extensive experience looking to step up into leadership.

You will be able to commit to 32 hours per week and take on the responsibility of overseeing the nursing clinics. There is ample opportunity to showcase leadership skills, improve current and implement new processes, and contribute to our mission of improving patient care.

As part of our experienced and supportive team, you'll have the opportunity to use your broad range of nursing skills and respond to changing clinical needs and workflows.

We aim to empower our nurses to utilize their full potential without being burdened by administrative duties. and as an inclusive team welcome suggestions on how we can further enhance our services.

Successful Candidate skills and attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent health care,
  • Experience using Indici or other PMS desirable.
  • Previous experience in a General Practice setting desirable but not essential.
  • Authorised vaccinator
  • Certified Smear taker
  • Cannulation experience
