Advocate / Social Worker – Family Violence Team

Women's Refuge and Sexual Violence Support Centre Marlborough Inc. (WRSVSCM) is seeking a Community Advocate to join our dedicated team. This role is vital in delivering recovery and prevention services to women, children, and whānau across Marlborough and Kaikōura.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide crisis response and support, including safe house admission and safety planning.

· Deliver culturally appropriate social work and advocacy services.

· Support clients through legal, medical, and social service systems.

· Build and maintain strong community and agency relationships.

· Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Recordbase.

· Uphold professional boundaries and engage in regular supervision.

· Contribute to community education and awareness initiatives.

What We're Looking For

· A registered social worker or experienced in advocacy or community support (preferably in family/sexual violence).

· Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to feminist principles.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

· Familiarity with Recordbase or similar client management systems is a plus.

· Full NZ driver's licence.
