Job Purpose and Impact

Our production supervisor role is essential in getting things done within our dynamic and fast-paced environment.  This role works closely with all departments within our organisation but plays a critical part in giving our team leaders the tools and confidence they need to get the best out of our people, so we can deliver high-quality products to our fantastic customers all around the world.

You will be responsible for?

  • Meeting production demands.
  • Production forecasting.
  • Health and safety.
  • Maintaining product quality.
  • Streamlining and improving production efficiencies.
  • Managing team members' tasks.
  • Ensure high levels of productivity and that targets are met
  • Developing and fostering teamwork & positive culture.

About You

Attitude is key; you will need to have good people management and leadership skills with a strong emphasis on safety and hygiene. Supervising, organising, and leading a production-oriented team, you will get a great opportunity to grow the efficiency and productivity of the department, and with your action orientation, you will drive the department's safety and production targets.

You are an experienced leader who leads from the front and isn't looking to sit at a desk all day.  You enjoy working with people and have the ability to organise and motivate everybody around you.  You empower those you lead and acknowledge the small and incremental gains you are able to achieve together.

What do we need from you?

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the meat industry.
  • Some computer skills are required.
  • A leader who sets the standard with a positive can-do attitude.
  • NZ resident or a valid work Visa.
  • Willingness to learn and develop your skills as the business evolves.
  • Able to manage and develop a multicultural team
  • Ability to influence and manage people with a hands-on management approach, whilst being able to problem-solve on the run
