Due to sustained expansion and an increasing client demand, we are seeking a talented Associate or Senior Associate lawyer with 5+ years' experience to join our commercial and property team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a passionate group of people, who foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.

You'll step into a client‑facing position, leading matters end‑to‑end with support from Partner Kate Mitchell and the wider team. This is a varied role, offering exposure to a broad range of commercial, private client and property work, including business sales and purchases, contract negotiations, financing and security documentation, property sales and purchases, and commercial leasing.  A key focus of this position is supporting SME clients and their owners, addressing both business and personal legal needs. You will also have the opportunity to advise clients in the public sector, broadening your experience and impact across a diverse client base.

Ideally you will:

  • Be a commercial and property lawyer with 5+ years' experience
  • Have experience advising business owners on both commercial and private client matters
  • Have a proven ability to manage multiple files and run matters independently under Partner supervision
  • Bring strong drafting, negotiation and client management skills
  • Be a confident delegator, able to mentor and supervise junior lawyers and contribute to a positive team culture
  • Demonstrate business development capability, including maintaining and growing client relationships
  • Be a fast learner with an adaptable mindset
  • Be a team player, who enjoys working in a collegial environment
  • Be motivated and reliable, with a client-focused approach
