Our client is seeking a seasoned Commercial Insurance Broker to take ownership of a well-established SME client base within a respected, independent brokerage. This role offers autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to build enduring relationships with business clients who value genuine expertise.

You'll work closely with clients across multiple sectors, delivering strategic insurance advice, managing renewals, and identifying opportunities to strengthen cover and add value. Supported by a capable internal team, you'll have the space to focus on what you do best, delivering exceptional outcomes and growing trusted partnerships.

What you'll be doing

• Managing a portfolio of SME and commercial clients across varied industries
• Providing tailored risk and insurance advice, renewals, and claims support
• Negotiating with underwriters to secure optimal coverage and competitive pricing
• Building and maintaining long-term client relationships based on trust and service excellence
• Identifying opportunities for portfolio growth and business development
• Ensuring compliance and documentation standards are met to a high level

What you'll bring

• Proven success in commercial or SME insurance broking (3+ years preferred)
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets
• Exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills
• Professional presence and ability to engage confidently with business owners
• Sound judgement, commercial acumen, and a proactive mindset
• Competence with insurance systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services (General Insurance Strand)
