Do you want to be the first and last face our guests see — creating memorable experiences from the moment they arrive?
Join our Front Office team and help deliver seamless transport experiences with genuine Millbrook hospitality.
Proudly awarded Oceania's Leading Hotel 2023 at the World Travel Awards.
Our work ethos is nurturing and supportive. We are the Millbrook family and take great pride in being one of New Zealand's best places to work.
Overview
Do you take pride in keeping things moving smoothly and safely? As our Transport Manager, you will be at the heart of Millbrook Resort's guest and staff transport operations — ensuring every journey reflects our five-star standard of service. From airport greetings and VIP transfers to overseeing our vehicle fleet, this is a dynamic role that combines leadership, coordination, and genuine guest connection. You will lead by example as our main resort driver, ensuring every transfer — whether a staff shuttle or a guest journey to Queenstown — is efficient, safe, and welcoming.
What will your day look like?
- Driving guests and team members safely to and from Queenstown, including airport greetings, VIP transfers, and local outings.
- Providing a warm, genuine welcome and sharing your local knowledge — delivering the Millbrook experience beyond the resort gates.
- Leading and supporting the Drivers team, ensuring high service standards, teamwork, and safety compliance across all transport operations.
- Overseeing the resort's vehicle fleet: ensuring all vehicles are road-ready, COF'd, and maintained to the highest standard.
- Working closely with our on-site Mechanic team to schedule maintenance, report issues, and keep the fleet safe and presentable.
- Conducting weekly transport reports, including tyre checks, COF, RUC, and registration audits.
- Training new Porter/Drivers, ensuring driving standards are upheld, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Liaising with the local post office and delivering mail to Millbrook residents on a weekly basis, coordinating between the post, our owners and members, and other departments.
- Supporting the Porters team when operationally required to ensure smooth, five-star service delivery across the resort.
- Collaborating closely with the Front Office team and wider departments to deliver seamless, exceptional guest experiences.
What makes you right for the role?
- You have experience in a transport, logistics, or hospitality driving role — ideally in a luxury or resort environment.
- You lead by example, with strong attention to safety, presentation, and guest care.
- You take pride in keeping vehicles immaculate and compliant, with a strong focus on health and safety.
- You are an excellent communicator who enjoys connecting with people and sharing local stories.
- You are proactive, reliable, and organised, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- You are confident leading and supporting others, helping your team grow and deliver consistent excellence.
- You hold a full, clean driver's licence and a P-class endorsement (or are willing to obtain one with our support).
- You are flexible and available to work weekends and public holidays.
Hours: Permanent, Full Time — rostered shifts between 6.50am - 3.30pm or 2.45pm pm (or anywhere in between)
