THE OPPORTUNITY

A Full time position has become available for a Lead Cook based at our Mainfreight Tauranga site. We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual as this is a very busy role, currently catering for 90+ team members daily.

Duties will involve but not limited to:

·       Menu planning for a team of approx. 100

·       Food preparation

·       Serving of meals

·       Cleaning

·       Ordering, controlling stock and sticking to a budget

·       Adhoc catering for events

·       Other day to day tasks as they arise

The hours required are 5:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. There may be times for additional hours through our peak season.

THE TEAM WE'RE AFTER

We're looking for a new team member that:

·       Has the right attitude and positive energy

·       Must have a high standard of hygiene

·       Has a willingness to provide a warm and welcoming environment within our cafeteria

·       Has a very good understanding of the food safety regulations

**Food handling & safety certification would be advantageous, however the right person for the position will be put through a food training certification course if required.
