We are looking for skilled and passionated Chefs to join our team in Tauranga, New Zealand.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation,excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchenenvironment.
Main Tasks:
Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and manage food supply orders.
Oversee the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation.
Collaborate with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen staff to enhance foodpreparation processes.
Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance on best practices.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard.
Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
Train and supervise kitchen staff as required.
Manage food preservation, including freezing and storage techniques.
What's on offer:- Hourly rate at $24- $26 (Gross).- The role is based on an assured 30-40 hours a week.- The work is carried out in Tauranga, New Zealand.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a professional kitchen, or a relevantqualification of NZQF Diploma in cookery, - Availability to work weekends as part of a rotating schedule.- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to take direction from supervisors.- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.- A strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high culinary standards.- Applicant must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
