Our client is a leader in industrial electrical services, providing installation, maintenance, and fault-finding for major manufacturing plants, factories, and processing facilities throughout the South Island. The Opportunity:

A rewarding full-time opportunity exists for an experienced and reliable Industrial Electrician to join this in demand team. This role offers varied and interesting work in a fast-paced industrial environment, where your expertise will be critical to keeping our clients' operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of industrial electrical systems, equipment, and machinery, including conveyors, automated systems, motors, and switchboards.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical faults to resolve breakdowns quickly.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering strictly to the Electricity (Safety) Regulations and all other relevant NZ codes.
  • Accurately record all work performed and prepare technical reports.

What You'll Bring:

  • Current NZ Registered Electrician with an active Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) Practising Licence.
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician.
  • Demonstrated expertise in PLC fault-finding, motor starters, VSDs, and associated technology.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical, logical approach to diagnosing issues.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing your time effectively.
  • A valid New Zealand Driver's Licence is essential.
