Apprentice Supply Electrician

We are New Zealand's fourth largest electricity network management company, responsible for managing four electricity networks across the diverse and spectacular lower South Island. 

We have an incredible opportunity to join our technical team as an Apprentice Supply Electrician based in Invercargill. As an apprentice you will complete an industry training programme to achieve your National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Level 4) and once qualified as a Supply Electrician, be willing to continue to build and strengthen your skills throughout your career.  

Whether you already have life experience and are attracted to a new career, or a recent school leaver who is looking to establish themselves in a growing industry, we would love to hear from you. Prior experience in the industry is not essential as full training will be provided so you're able to work safely and efficiently. 

We are looking for people who:

• have an understanding or interest in learning about the electricity industry
• is eager to learn new practical skills 
• have sound numeracy and literacy skills
• hold a Class 1 New Zealand Drivers licence (minimum restricted)
• hold a NCEA Level 2 or equivalent level of achievement
• is a strong team player and contributor, committed to learning and enjoys working outdoors in all types of weather and conditions. 
• is up front and honest 
• really wants to make a difference within a company who encourages growth and development and a can-do attitude of "Do it once, do it right"
