Our client is seeking a Senior Technical member of staff to work with other members of staff to provide our customers with air conditioning maintenance and repairs using safe/best practices.

You are directly responsible for ensuring all work carried out by yourself and those working under your leadership/supervision is in accordance with Zero Injuries, Zero Damage to Property, and Zero Bad Jobs.

About You:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of New Zealand Industry Experience
  • Formal Trade Training background with Trade Certificate plus EST or Electrical Registration
  • capable of working on unitary splits, unitary packaged systems, chilled water systems, and building control systems
  • Participate in 'Company-directed/prescribed' training
  • Maintain accreditation and or certification permitting you to work with new refrigerants, air conditioning wiring, and global air conditioning control systems (as per EST)
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours - urgent callouts, overtime, and public holiday fulfilling
  • Be able to work 'generally' unsupervised
  • Be a resource for Service Management and the Project Department, including but not limited to supervising works being carried out by others (members of staff, sub-contractors, contractors)

About the role:

  • Participating in Daily Service Meetings
  • Carry out prescribed maintenance and repairs of commercial air conditioning equipment and systems
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive communications between yourself and other members of staff, this includes but not limited to 'Field Service Alerts (reports)', Planned Maintenance Sheet updates and Service Reports
  • Working with Service Management to organize/book work which may include arranging and coordinating access to work site
