Mō te tūranga | About the role
The Housing Intake Coordinator is responsible for providing specialised coordination and assessment of all the applicants to our Housing waitlist.
Key responsibilities of the Housing Intake Coordinator role include:
- Conducting interviews of Housing applicants, communicating with potential tenants, landlords and wider Housing staff.
- Working closely with Social Workers, Housing Locators and Lead Tenancy Managers to support applicants.
- To be the point of contact for walk-ins, web and phone enquiries.
- Proactively refer whānau to other Visionwest services and external providers as needed.
Mōu ake | About you
We are seeking an empathetic and non-judgemental coordinator, to become an integral part of our Housing team.
Skills and attributes we are looking for include:
- Previous experience in social housing, social services or a case management.
Strong administration and computer skills.
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team along with strong relationship management skills.
