About the Role
As Design Manager, you will bridge knowledge between preconstruction and construction, acting as the key interface between clients, consultants, and project teams. You will lead the design process across a diverse array of project types, including civic, commercial, and mass timber builds, ensuring design and buildability are integrated from concept to completion. Producing and monitoring Design and Procurement micro-programmes in alignment with contract programme.
Key Responsibilities- Procure, lead and coordinate the full consultant team from procurement through to completion of scope.
- Produce and monitor design and procurement programmes in alignment with contract programme.
- Oversee shop drawing procurement and technical reviews.
- Provide buildability input into design, championing practical and innovative solutions.
- Set up and manage key procurement pathways.
- Facilitate design and buildability workshops, embedding lessons learnt into the LTM knowledge base.
- Act as the primary client-facing representative for all design matters, ensuring clarity, responsiveness, and confidence.
- Operate confidently within the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) environment, driving BIM integration and digital workflows across all project stages.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Practical experience in design management, ideally with design and build delivery.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams.
- Competence in planning and programming design workflows.
- Experience with BIM workflows and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) platforms.
- Proficiency in standard MS Office applications.
