Mō te Tūranga | About the role
Join our Identity & Integration Platform team as a Senior Platform Engineer. You'll play a key role in establishing and supporting ASB's modern integration platform, working in an agile, autonomous environment focused on continuous improvement and customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Service Mesh and API gateway solutions
- Build, deploy, and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) infrastructure and namespaces
- Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform)
- Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers to keep customers informed of proactive and responsive work
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Cloud team's technical capabilities, standards, and practices
About You
We're looking for a proactive engineer with strong problem-solving and leadership skills. You'll need:
Essential
- Expert-level Azure cloud experience
- Strong technical, architectural, and design skills
Significant experience with:
Building and managing AKS infrastructure
- Deploying and managing workloads in AKS using CI/CD (Bicep or Terraform)
- Linux and Windows environments
- Application development and software engineering lifecycle
- Cloud infrastructure, management, and networking (Azure CNI, workload identity, application routing, Azure policy)
- Service Mesh, API gateways, AKS monitoring
- Release management and workflow automation
- Cyber security and secure-by-design approaches
Automation and orchestration tools
Motivated to learn new technologies and practices
Certifications (any Two Of)
- AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, CKA
Desirable
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
