Role Overview:
The DataPay Consultant role is a support specialist for our Datapay Direct clients, ensuring they get the most out of our payroll software solutions.
Role Responsibilities
The Datapay Consultant is responsible for (but not limited to):
- Providing high-quality technical support, troubleshooting issues, and guiding users through configurations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients seeking assistance with payroll software via phone, email, or ticketing systems. Provide timely and effective technical support for issues related to payroll processing, tax calculations, reporting, and system integrations.
- Assist clients with software configurations, upgrades, and customisations to enhance overall system performance. Document all client interactions and troubleshooting steps in the support ticketing system with accuracy and clarity.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Development and Product Management, to escalate complex issues and contribute to product enhancements.
- Takes reasonable care that their actions (or inactions) do not harm the Health and Safety of self or others. Reports all incidents, hazards or unsafe work practices as per Datacom policy
What You'll Bring
The successful applicant will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is also a bonus.
- Proven experience of 2/3 years in a Tech Support role, preferably within the payroll software industry or related field
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing software-related issues, with experience in software debugging tool and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to clients of varying technical backgrounds.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to delivering a positive support experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CPP - Certified Payroll Professional) are a plus.
- Datapay payroll knowledge is preferable but not essential.
