Join ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions New Zealand — part of the global leader in access solutions — and help us shape the future of smart, secure, and sustainable products. You'll be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
About the role
We're on the lookout for an onsite Product Management Specialist to support and execute our product strategy for the New Zealand market.
In this role, you'll provide key market insights, competitor intelligence, and technical expertise while working closely with our Australian Product Manager. You'll also take ownership of NZ-specific product opportunities, leading the full development process from concept to launch.
Key responsibilities
- Provide regular NZ market and competitor insights to the AU Product Manager.
- Lead end-to-end product development for NZ-unique opportunities, following the Gateway (GW0–GW5) process.
- Conduct customer and market research to validate business cases for new products.
- Develop and deliver technical product training for sales and customer service teams.
- Maintain accuracy of product data, marketing collateral, and training materials.
- Support resolution of in-field product quality issues and ensure timely reporting.
- Manage product lifecycle activities — from innovation and continuous improvement to end-of-life coordination.
About you
You're an analytical and curious professional who enjoys solving problems and identifying new product opportunities. You can balance technical understanding with commercial awareness and communicate effectively across teams.
To be successful, you'll bring:
- 2–4 years' experience in Product Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of digital technologies, IoT devices, and wireless communication protocols.
- Strong analytical, prioritisation, and project-management skills.
- Experience in usability or customer-focused design.
- A passion for product innovation and continuous improvement.
Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
Why join us?
At ASSA ABLOY, we don't just open doors — we open opportunities.
You'll join a global organisation of nearly 61,000 colleagues across 70 countries, united by a shared purpose: to make the world safer, more secure, and easier to access. We offer career development, training, and the chance to grow your role locally or internationally.
We value diversity and inclusion and welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are ready to bring their ideas and energy to our team.
We are the ASSA ABLOY Group
Our people have made us the global leader in access solutions. In return, we open doors for them wherever they go. With nearly 63,000 colleagues in more than 70 different countries, we help billions of people experience a more open world. Our innovations make all sorts of spaces – physical and virtual – safer, more secure, and easier to access.
As an employer, we value results – not titles, or backgrounds. We empower our people to build their career around their aspirations and our ambitions – supporting them with regular feedback, training, and development opportunities. Our colleagues think broadly about where they can make the most impact, and we encourage them to grow their role locally, regionally, or even internationally.
As we welcome new people on board, it's important to us to have diverse, inclusive teams, and we value different perspectives and experiences.
