Join our team of passionate and diverse Planners as Team Lead – Resource Consents. Leading a team of employees and contractors, you'll also manage a portfolio of resource consent applications. You'll provide expert planning advice to the public, consultants, and internal stakeholders and administer and implement the District Plan.

We're looking for someone who shares that passion and combines technical expertise with people-first leadership.

You'll also need:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in Resource Management Planning
  • At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in planning
  • Proven ability to process a full range of consent applications
  • Experience presenting at the Environment Court
  • Sound decision-making and advisory capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Eligibility for full membership with the New Zealand Planning Institute
