RISE is seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth, influence, and sustainability. As CEO, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation's long-term strategy while ensuring programs and services continue to meet the evolving needs of the communities RISE serves. A key focus will be strengthening partnerships with government, community, and philanthropic stakeholders, building credibility and influence to advance RISE's mission. You will also empower staff to innovate, provide high-quality services, and cultivate a culture of collaboration and support. Visible and authentic leadership will be critical as you engage with the wider public, champion safe and resilient communities, and continue to position RISE as a trusted and respected voice across the sector.
Ō Pukenga me Ō Wheako | Your Skills and Experience
We are searching for an accomplished and outcomes-focused leader with proven senior executive experience, who can demonstrate strong strategic and commercial capability while being visible, hands-on, and actively engaged across the organisation and its communities. You will be ambitious in advancing RISE's mission, with the ability to balance strategic advocacy and operational delivery across a complex and diverse environment. A key component of your success will be your ability to build enduring relationships with staff, government, community partners, and philanthropic stakeholders, ensuring RISE has a strong local presence and sector influence. Your leadership style will be empathetic and impact-oriented, grounded in high emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, and inclusivity. Commercial acumen and experience successfully managing resources, diversifying income streams, and ensuring long-term sustainability will be essential. While experience in the community or social services sector is advantageous, it is not essential, provided you can quickly build credibility and navigate the complexities of multiple stakeholders and funding environments.
