You will:

• Manage Judges' diaries, correspondence, and meetings for smooth daily operations
• Prepare agendas, meeting materials, and clear minutes to support decision-making
• Handle confidential matters and act as the main point of contact for stakeholders
• Organise travel, events, and resources for Judges
• Support continuous improvement and innovation in administrative processes
• Build strong relationships across the Ministry and with key external partners

Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Relevant secretarial qualification and/or equivalent experience.
• Strong organisation, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills.
• Minimum accurate word processing speed of 70 words per minute.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and planning skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in events management, general office duties, and working with a wide range of computer-based applications.

You will be working as part of a geographically spread team, so your ability to work independently and manage your workload with minimal supervision is essential.

Previous experience providing executive or personal assistance in a busy environment is required; legal or court experience would be advantageous.

Please note that this is a part-time, 30 hours per week, role based in Nelson.

Utu ā-tau/Salary

The salary band for this role is between $59,729 and $80,794 and starting salary will be based on skills and experience.
