We're looking for a Precision Ag Consultant—or, if you're earlier in your career, a Junior Ag Consultant eager to learn and gain hands-on experience. We want someone with a mix of technical skills, curiosity, and a genuine passion for agriculture to join our Agri Insights team.

This role can be based in any of our key South Island regions and involves semi-regular travel to support our large and loyal customer base.

Our services range from soil moisture monitoring, EM surveying, and yield data analysis through to GPS guidance, variable rate solutions, machine control and much more.

This is a dynamic, hands-on position that offers plenty of variety and opportunities for growth. You'll play a key role in collecting, interpreting, and applying data to help farmers navigate environmental compliance and improve on-farm productivity predominantly across the Canterbury region. Your work will include: 

• Installing and servicing Agri-tech systems such as soil moisture sensors, weather stations, and yield monitors 

• Managing your own customer base and building strong relationships 

• Conducting soil surveys to understand on-farm variability 

• Working in precision agronomy – interpreting data, supporting variable rate plans, and helping customers turn insights into action

You'll be part of a supportive national team, working alongside experienced consultants and technicians.

• Install, service, and support precision ag technologies across farms and horticultural operations
• Collect, process, and analyse agronomic data (e.g., EM soil surveys, yield data, satellite imagery)
• Support the delivery of precision agronomy services, including soil and crop mapping, variable rate recommendations, and farm data reporting
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical support in the field
• Collaborate with our national Agri Insights team to deliver tailored solutions for clients

You're motivated to help farmers solve real-world challenges using ag-tech solutions. You're practical, not afraid to get your hands dirty, and eager to learn new technologies and how to apply them effectively on farm.

You might be a recent graduate or have a few years of experience in Agri-tech, farm systems, or agronomy.

You'll bring:

• A relevant qualification in agriculture, environmental science, Agri-tech, or a related field
• A strong interest in precision agriculture and Agri-data
• Hands-on experience in farming, agronomy, or technical fieldwork (advantageous)
• A problem-solving mindset and enthusiasm for learning new technologies
• A full NZ driver's licence and willingness to travel within the region
