About the Clinic

CareVets Glen Eden is a busy, well-established companion animal practice proudly serving the Glen Eden community from its convenient West Auckland location near the stunning Waitākere Ranges, with easy access to local cafés, bus stops, and the train station.

Our experienced 3-vet team cares for cats, dogs, and a wide range of exotic pets, earning a reputation as one of the area's go-to clinics for exotic animal care. Many of our close-knit team members have worked together for years, creating a warm, family-like atmosphere where camaraderie thrives.

About the Role

This is more than just a coordination role — it's a chance to help shape the clinic's culture, workflow, and future. You'll work alongside an experienced veterinary team and have a direct influence on team morale, client care, and daily operations.

This role is ideal for a senior veterinary nurse ready to step into a leadership position, or someone already working as a Clinic Coordinator who is looking for a fresh environment where their nursing skills and leadership abilities will be recognised and supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily clinic administration and smooth workflow
  • Supporting and enhancing a positive, engaged team culture
  • Mentoring and guiding junior staff and new team members
  • Assisting with clinical duties as required
  • Managing retail operations and clinic presentation
  • Maintaining high standards of client service and communication
  • Assisting with staff scheduling and clinic coordination

This is a full-time position and will include some weekend work.

About You

You're an experienced, confident leader who stays calm under pressure and genuinely enjoys supporting people. You know how a clinic runs, you love the rhythm of the work, and you care deeply about client service and animal welfare.

This role is best suited to someone with a veterinary nursing qualification and hands-on clinical experience, ideally as a senior veterinary nurse or clinic coordinator, who is looking to take the next step in their leadership journey.
