Local Doctors is seeking a proactive and people-focused Clinic Coordinator to oversee daily operations at our busy clinic. You'll play a central role in delivering exceptional patient experiences, supporting staff, and ensuring efficient clinic performance.

In this role, you will work alongside a team of doctors, nurses, and medical receptionists, ensuring seamless workflows, operational excellence, and a safe, welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Join the Local Doctors Glen Innes team, a busy GP and Urgent Care clinic open 7 days a week, with on-site x-ray and pharmacy, accessible by public transport and parking. Work alongside a warm, ethnically diverse team speaking multiple languages while gaining experience in both general practice and urgent care, supporting patients with everything from routine check-ups to acute treatments-an exciting opportunity to grow your healthcare career in East Auckland.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop clinic administration and reception staff
- Ensure smooth day-to-day clinic operations, including patient flow, equipment, and facilities
- Oversee patient enrolments, invoicing, and billing accuracy
- Assist with staff rosters, workforce planning, and cover as needed
- Monitor and report on clinic performance (KPIs)
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and accreditation standards
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff development
- Ensure exceptional patient care and professional communication
What We're Looking For
- Degree or relevant tertiary qualification (business or health administration preferred)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in healthcare administration, general practice, urgent care, or similar
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills
- Proficiency with PMS systems (e.g., Medtech, Indici)
- Excellent organisational, reporting, and billing abilities
- Commitment to equity and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
