This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week

The opportunity

As the Manager Strategic Planning you will lead a specialist team to set the medium and long-term direction for how water, wastewater and stormwater networks and services will evolve, ensuring that all planning and decision making about assets and investments is aligned with the organisation's overall goals and outcomes, sustainability and resilience priorities and stakeholder needs.

You will get to:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a multi-disciplinary strategic planning team
  • Drive the development and maintenance of strategic plans years with a 100-year horizon) for the evolution of each of the three water networks/systems
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve strategic frameworks
  • Build strong external collaborative relationships with councils, and other water services providers

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring the following:

  • Ideally eight-ten years' experience in strategic planning or infrastructure management
  • A degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental science or related.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement long-term strategic plans aligned with corporate outcomes and sustainability priorities
  • A deep understanding of water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, including regulatory frameworks, serving trends and infrastructure planning
  • The ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to align on strategic priorities
