About the Role:

Our client is a well-respected NZ owned business, who have been enhancing the quality of people's lives for over 35 years.  They have developed trusted partnerships across multiple markets, including Public and Private Hospitals, Allied Health, Aged Care and Community Care. 

An opportunity is now available for either an experienced Assistive Technologies Sales Specialist or an OT/Physio Clinician who is seeking a change and would enjoy being on the road building trusted relationships with end users.  You will be a part of the Community Care team and will conduct onsite visits and engage with Healthcare Professionals, to assess client requirements, set up trial equipment or conduct training across Pediatrics and Powered Wheelchair products. 

The main focus of this role is to generate sales and provide professional advice and technical knowledge on best fit, form and function for individual users. This will be a challenging role, which will see you planning and managing the majority of the South Island Territory to achieve the desired results.

Duties and responsibilities;

  • Generate sales, develop customer relations and provide product demonstrations to existing and potential customers/referrers, including OT, Physiotherapists and Allied Health Professionals
  • Attend Trade Shows, Seminars and Events to market products
  • Use CRM to track all sales activity including quotes, orders and communications
  • Act as a Consultant and knowledge resource for Therapists and other Healthcare Professionals to assist assess client requirements
  • Conduct Joint Visits, Department Visits, In Home Services & Product Demonstrations
  • Carry out healthcare and equipment trials and training for clients, referrers and end users
  • Develop and nurture long term customer relationships, through offering world class service and solutions.

Skills and Experience:

  • The ability and drive to consistently meet and exceed targets & KPI's
  • Ability to develop and nurture long-term customer relationships
  • Allied Health, OT, Physio clinical experience or experienced in sales or service of assisted technology products is essential
  • A high level of empathy and sensitivity to patients and staff in health and medical settings
  • Be able to plan and manage your own appointments and schedules
  • Enjoy problem solving and finding solutions
  • Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Sound computer skills including MS Office and CRM systems
  • Current drivers licence
  • Be available to undertake regular travel throughout the South Island, with overnight stays required
  • MUST be a NZ Resident with full working rights. This role is not suitable to someone requiring sponsorship.
