Requirements:

To be successful in this role, applicants must have:

  • At least three (3) years of relevant work experience, or
  • A New Zealand Certificate in Barber Skills (Level 4) or equivalent qualification.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities / Job Duties:

  • Provide professional haircuts, beard trims, and shaves according to client preferences.
  • Advise clients on suitable hairstyles, beard designs, and hair treatments.
  • Perform hair washing, drying, styling, and finishing services.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards of workstations, tools, and the shop environment.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are sterilized and maintained in good condition.
  • Manage client appointments and walk-ins efficiently.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Keep up to date with current hair trends, techniques, and products.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
