Ko wai mātou (Who we are)

Since July 2023, we have embraced a Co-Governance model at both the Board and senior leadership levels, reflecting our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and fostering shared responsibility in our leadership. We celebrate the desire and aptitude for our teams to learn Te Reo as part of our Treaty committments.

Presbyterian Support aims to create a better life for everyone. Our social services are focused on whakawhanaungatanga and manākitanga (relationships and hospitality) to help to build safer, stronger, more connected families and communities. This includes supporting older people to maintain their wellbeing and positive social connections

We have sites across the upper South Island covering the Tasman & Marlborough (Te Tau Ihu o te waka a Maui), West Coast (Te Tai Poutini) and Canterbury districts (Ōtautahi & Hakatere).

Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ke tēnei mahi (About the position)

The Enliven Community Services Coordinator position is an integral part of the Christchurch Enliven Team and will work in collaboration with the Enliven Operations Manager and Day Programme Team Leaders to lead the HomeShare services as well as providing relief cover and contribute to innovative service delivery and community/stakeholder relationships.

The Enliven Community Services Coordinator role will effectively promote services, recruit, train and induct HomeShare hosts and volunteers, provide support to host and volunteer teams and ensure they have the resources necessary to provide excellent customer service to HomeShare clients within the district. Volunteers are an important part of our sustainability goals: working with, training and developing our volunteers for the Homeshare service is an important part of this role.

One of the North Canterbury HomeShares is part of the Dementia Mate Wareware HomeShare pilot (background information below).  This role will also hold responsibility for participating in and contributing to pilot activities and groups.

The Homeshare programme offers small groups hosted within a host's home, to meet the individual needs of a group of socially isolated older people from within the community.
