About Us
We are a New Zealand-based data services company specialising in in-country (NZ) sensitive-data labelling, review and evaluation for public sector and regulated industries (health, public safety, transport, education, finance). We operate on NZ cloud/VPC with controls aligned to Privacy Act 2020 (incl. IPP12), NZISM and PSR, and deliver auditable SLAs.
The Role
We're seeking an Account Executive / Business Development professional with a proven track record selling to the NZ public sector or regulated enterprises. You will open doors, lead the procurement cycle end-to-end, and convert our technical capabilities into contract-ready SOW/SLA and paid 2–4 week PoCs that progress to multi-year frameworks.
What You'll Do
• Own the full cycle: prospect → discovery → solution shaping → RFI/RFP/RFT responses → negotiation → contract → expansion.
• Navigate GETS/AoG frameworks, council and agency procurement, and enterprise vendor onboarding.
• Translate requirements into SOWs, acceptance criteria, SLA/OLA, and milestone-based billing.
• Partner with Solution/Compliance to package Privacy Act/IP12, NZISM, PSR controls (e.g., PIA, DPA, audit packs).
• Build repeatable 2–4 week PoC playbooks for Health, Transport, Public Safety, Education and Finance.
• Maintain accurate pipeline/forecast and stakeholder maps across business, procurement, privacy, security and legal.
• Represent the company at sector events (AI Forum NZ, government/health/transport forums).
Must-Have Experience
• 3–7+ years selling to NZ public sector or regulated customers (e.g., Te Whatu Ora/Health NZ, ministries/agencies, councils, banks/insurers).
• Hands-on ownership of RFI/RFP/RFT and contracting; successful vendor due diligence (security/privacy).
• Working knowledge of Privacy Act 2020 & IPP12, NZISM, PSR and how they map to SaaS/on-prem/VPC deliveries.
• Ability to turn technical controls into auditable SOW/SLA (access control, logging, residency, retention/destruction, incident response).
• Strong executive communication (written & verbal) and multi-stakeholder management.
• Right to work in New Zealand.
Nice to Have
• Sector background in Health (HIPC), Public Safety, Transport, Education, or Financial Services (KYC/AML).
• Familiarity with data labelling/evaluation, analytics, MLOps, or clinical/operational data projects.
• Existing relationships with NZ ministries/agencies/councils or Tier-1 banks/insurers.
• Experience converting PoC → framework agreements with milestone billing.
